Sovereign In the Wait

I have often wondered about God seeing things from heaven’s view. Looking down and seeing all the beauty, good, generosity, and love as well as the hate, devastation, destruction, and greed, where does it point to? What does it mean?

Hard questions are sometimes a mystery, but faith in who God is becomes the pivot of focus in the unknown to man. Embracing the beauty and good alongside the devastation and pain can only make sense in God’s sovereignty.

Working all things together for good is not for the small mind to comprehend but for the open mind to enlarge and be willing to avail itself. Every sunset, plant, newborn baby, heartbeat, passionate kiss, embrace, mountain, ocean, and all that is created within it displays the creativity of the Creator and beautiful goodness.

Trusting what we don’t understand and believing in the goodness of God can change the lens through which we see.

Sovereign, above it all, working all things together for the greater good is at the heartbeat of a loving God. In humanity, our scope to see with hope is counterintuitive, especially when relying on the physical senses. Human nature naturally gravitates toward skepticism, cynicism, negativity, and blame.

What if your eyes could be opened to a reality that wasn’t natural to human understanding? Is this the place where the mystery of the sovereignty of God begins to come into focus? Or maybe, just curious, contemplative in some way?

Interestingly, when I let go of what I don’t understand, release what I cannot control, and surrender to the trust of a more excellent plan or greater good that time will reveal, peace holds me in the wait for the answers.

The peace that fills my heart in the wait demonstrates the love in the heart of a Sovereign God. Though my questions are not answered, and I am impatient for resolution, rest enters my heart. The confidence surpasses the angst as I choose, by faith, to trust God is Sovereign and good in ways too high for me to understand. Just receive the love, rest, and peace as you trust in the wait.
